High precision and high performance compact type surface roughness tester features a simple-to-operate dedicated control unit with user-friendly display. Simple to use – the integrated joystick on the control unit allows quick and easy positioning. Small styli can be positioned easily on a surface using the manual control knob. Large, integrated, touch-sensitive, 7” colour LCD panel clearly shows the results of calculations and evaluated profiles. Setting up for a measurement is aided by icons representing the elements of the surface roughness symbols seen on engineering drawings. Recommended values to use are easily selected from a list that appears after selecting an element icon. Wide choice of fine-contour analyses (uneven steps, uneven area, circle, angle, coordinate difference and slope) is available, in addition to 43 parameters compliant with 1997 ISO and 2001 JIS surface roughness standards.
